Italian bruschetta salsa
Bruschetta is an Italian classic. This easy recipe is delicious as a dip!
Ingredients
- 4 large, ripe tomatoes
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 small basil plant
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- Pepper
- Coarsely ground sea salt
Looking for a nice twist? For a luxurious version, use truffle salt.
Directions
STEP 1
Rinse the tomatoes under cold, running water, cut them in half and sprinkle with course sea salt.
STEP 2
Allow the excess liquid to drain away by placing them upside-down in a sieve for 20 minutes.
STEP 3
Peel the garlic and mince it finely into very small pieces or press the cloves through a garlic press.
STEP 4
Dice the drained tomatoes into small, 1 cm cubes.
STEP 5
Rinse the basil leaves and tear them into small pieces.
STEP 6
Mix the diced tomatoes, basil and garlic with the olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
