As AVEVE NV aims to handle personal data carefully and correctly, we have drawn up this Privacy Policy to tell you what we do with these data.
1 When is this Privacy Policy applicable?
This Privacy Policy applies to the collection and processing of personal data from visitors to the Niamh website.
2 Who is responsible for processing this data?
AVEVE NV, located at Aarschotsesteenweg 84, 3012 Leuven, Belgium, is the party responsible for the processing of the personal data as described in this Privacy Policy.
AVEVE NV has appointed a data protection officer. This person is responsible for monitoring the protection of your personal data. You can contact the Data Protection Officer at privacy@aveve.be.
3 Which personal data do we process?
This section explains which personal data of yours we process, as well as the purposes and the legal grounds for this processing. In addition, this section states how long we store this data.
3.1 Competitions organised through the website
AVEVE NV regularly organises competitions and activities you can participate in by completing a participation form on our website.
On this application form, we ask you to complete your name, surname, e-mail address, postal address, language, sex and baking interests.
On the one hand, we use these details to register and confirm your participation, check whether you meet the competition rules (e.g. you must be over 18) and post your parcel if you win. On the other hand, we use these details to send you information based on your interests. Your details are processed on the basis of the permission you have given by providing your consent on the application form.
Your details are anonymised for analytical purposes.
Your details will be deleted six months after the end of the competition, unless you have told us you wish to receive information from us. In that case, your details will remain on file until you tell us you are no longer interested, as per section 3.3 of this privacy statement.
3.2 Log files and cookies
When you visit the website, we automatically collect technical data (log files and pixel tags) and place cookies to improve the ease of use of the website.

3.3 Electronic newsletters
Our website provides an option to indicate you are interested in receiving newsletters relating to our products, promotions and recipes.
To send these newsletters, we process your name, surname, language, country and email address.
We only process your e-mail address to send you the requested newsletters. By entering your email address, you are giving us your consent to send newsletters.
Using the link at the bottom of each newsletter, you have the option to let us know you no longer want to receive any newsletters. As soon as you have done so, your e-mail address will be removed from our databases and mailing list.
3.4 Contact form
When you contact us through the online contact form, by e-mail or by telephone, we collect your name, surname, e-mail address and message. Depending on the method you choose to contact us, we may not collect all of the data listed above. We collect this data because it is necessary to be able to answer your question.
We will not store this data for any longer than is necessary to answer your questions.
4 Do we sell or pass your personal data to third parties?
We will not sell your data to third parties under any circumstances.
For the performance of our services, we may share this data with third parties (e.g. data centres, printers, mailing agencies and software administrators). To protect your personal data, we have made agreements with these parties that guarantee your privacy. We may also share your address data with external parties with a view to data enrichment (e.g. when you have moved but not notified us, we can get your new address from these partners).
5 How do we protect your personal data?
AVEVE NV takes the protection of your personal data and your trust in us very seriously. Therefore, we will take all necessary steps to ensure the protection of your personal data. To ensure that your data is protected against improper access, wrongful use, loss, or improper modification, among other breaches of privacy, our services utilise various protection techniques and procedures. For instance, we store the personal data provided by you in databases, information systems and servers that are only accessible to authorised personnel or contractors who need to access this data in order to process it for us. In addition, our personnel are notified of this Privacy Policy and of all the applicable internal guidelines that have been issued for the protection of your personal data. They are also obliged to respect the confidentiality of your data.
6 How can you contact us to exercise your rights?
You have the right to demand inspection of your personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to delete or rectify incorrect, invalid, outdated or incomplete personal data.
In addition, you have the right in certain cases to ask us to temporarily suspend the use of your personal data for a specific type of processing.
Finally, you have the right to object to a specific type of processing of your personal data.
If you no longer wish to receive emails or mail containing newsletters, you can easily unsubscribe from our mailing list. If you do so, you will no longer receive any personalised e-mails or postal mail shots from us.
You are required to email your request to privacy@aveve.be.
Such requests must contain the following: full name, address, email address, copy of the front side of your ID card, and a clear description of your request.
If, in your opinion, we have not handled your request appropriately, please contact us according to the above information. If this does not produce the desired result, you have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority in the country in which you are residing. For Belgian customers, this is the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit. For Dutch customers, this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. In France, this is La Commision Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL). In general, any complaints must be submitted to the supervisory authority in the country in which you are residing.
7 Changes to this Privacy Policy
If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, the amended Policy will be published on the Niamh website stating the date of revision at the top.
